Freshmen Admissions

Advanced Placement

Your hard work can help you get ahead.

You can earn Advanced Placement (AP) credit for courses if you achieve the required scores on the Advanced Placement Examination of the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB).

When you take the examination, you should direct the CEEB to send the test score report to the Office of University Admissions at Adelphi University. You may receive a maximum of 30 credits from AP tests and/or college-level work completed prior to high school graduation.

You may also receive AP credit by earning an acceptable grade on other selected tests, such as:

  • The International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Examinations
  • The Cambridge “A” Level Examinations
