Adelphi welcomes the opportunity to assist all qualified active, reserve, and veteran members of the military in their academic plans and preparation for the future. The University considers, on an individual basis, the needs, interests, and purposes of active, reserve, and veteran military who desire higher education.
Adelphi was transformed in the 1940s when the University welcomed WWII veterans to campus and today our university president is a veteran and an advocate for the new G.I. Bill, a past board chairman is a veteran, and we have a strong alumni veterans network. Adelphi strives to make the application and student experience for active, reserve, and veteran military personnel a smooth, efficient and enjoyable experience.
This site is a resource for active, reserve, and veteran military personnel who are currently studying at Adelphi or those who wish to apply.

Important Notice to Adelphi students studying under
Chapter 32 and 33 VA/Post9/11 GI Bill Benefits
As you may already know, the Post 9/11 GI Bill has recently been changed, and many of the changes will go into effect over the next few months. For a summary of those changes, see Upcoming Changes to The Post-9/11 GI-Bill on the Department of Veterans Affairs website.
These changes include changes to the way the housing stipend is paid, how distance education is treated, National Guard and reservist qualifications, and the total amount of tuition assistance available to students studying at private colleges.
For current Adelphi University students using this bill to help fund their education, this could mean changes in their funding beginning in the fall semester and moving forward. This notice is to make you aware of these changes and let you know that Adelphi is actively working on determining how these changes will affect your individual financial aid situations for the next academic year. Adelphi's goal is to clarify your aid status as much as possible before the end of this semester.
To that end, we are urging you all to complete the government's financial aid application, FAFSA, as soon as possible to assist us in determining the financial aid that may be available to you in the upcoming year. The earlier you fill out this form, the earlier we can assist you with financial aid planning in the coming year.
If you have question about theses changes please call Jaime Kindelmann at 516.877.3412.

About Adelphi University and Its History with Active, Reserve, and Veteran Military Students
The Post-9/11 G.I. Bill and other student financing opportunities at Adelphi
- The Post-9/11 G.I. Bill represents the largest expansion of G.I. education benefits since the original G.I. Bill began after World War II. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a part of that new legislation that allows private universities to cover additional tuition costs for qualified veterans. Find out more about these and other financial aid opportunities for active, reserve, and veteran military students. Eligible veterans may be able to study at Adelphi for little to no tuition cost.
