You know you’ve found the right place.

Now what does it take to get in? For your convenience, we’ve created a list of steps you must take during the application process. And our contact information is listed below–we’re happy to help with any questions you may have along the way.

Transfer applicants should submit the following to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions:

Transfer applicants who have completed less than 30 college credits must submit the following:

  • Official high school transcript, indicating the date of graduation.
  • Essay, in 500 words or less, responding to the following topics:
    • Explain your reasons for wanting to attend Adelphi University.
    • Describe a personal accomplishment of which you are particularly proud and explain why.

Please note:

  • SAT or ACT scores will be required from applicants who have graduated high school within the past year.
  • Social Work: Interviews may be required for transfer students interested in social work.
  • Nursing: Applicants to the School of Nursing should also follow the instructions to their respective program:

Transfer applicants are encouraged to arrange for an interview and a campus tour prior to submitting an application. If you would like to visit campus for a student-guided tour, please contact tours@adelphi.edu.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be submitted along with your application.
