Ammon School of Education in the College of Education and Health Sciences, you’ll be ready to move forward in your career as an educator. Our range of programs offers concentrations in many specialized areas of teaching and leadership, including Childhood Special Education and Literacy. You’ll take what you learn here and put it into practice, whether it’s right on campus at Adelphi’s Early Learning Center or with one of our community partners. Unlike some other programs, our students begin real-time observations at once and must do a minimum of 100 hours of fieldwork—so you’ll be classroom ready right away. The Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology started as a groundbreaking doctoral program for clinical psychologists.
