Students whose applications are complete at least one month prior to the semester are guaranteed decisions for the semester. Applications completed thereafter will be considered on a rolling basis.
 

Ruth S. Ammon School of Education

Learn teaching by teaching. That’s what we believe in. With an advanced degree from the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education in the College of Education and Health Sciences, you’ll be ready to move forward in your career as an educator. Our range of programs offers concentrations in many specialized areas of teaching and leadership, including Childhood Special Education and Literacy. You’ll take what you learn here and put it into practice, whether it’s right on campus at Adelphi’s Early Learning Center or with one of our community partners. Unlike some other programs, our students begin real-time observations at once and must do a minimum of 100 hours of fieldwork—so you’ll be classroom ready right away. Not only will this put you further along the pay scale and in a position to take on new professional roles, but most importantly, you’ll gain a greater understanding of how children learn best—preparing them for a lifetime of success.


Communication Sciences and Disorders
